I heard on the radio how flustered fans are at the price of Britney Spears tickets, so they’re hoping they will win! Now that makes me question peoples thinking and hearing. If you take away the lights and smoke, the band behind her, she is easily exposed as what she is. Is she really a ‘talent’ and one worth $626 dollars worth of your hard earned cash? Or perhaps she’s just hot naked and sex’d up in her videos and full of melodrama consisting of divorce and headshaving…and it’s just ‘so awesome’?
Personally, music seems to be going down the drain lately. It’s all loop beats and the same artists over and over on the radio and the same ones that win awards. I’m bored. I tend to use my mp3 in my speakers and turn off the radio. I play cds in the car when need be. I can list artists and everyone will know who they are as they are played over and over. Akon, Black eyed Peas, Lady gaga, Justin Timberlake, L’il Wayne, Coldplay… I am beginning to understand the difficult times other artists must be having. Music is changing so much I was even impressed with that idol winner. I’ve forgotten his name, but the boy is talented. He can play insturments and make his own music by taking another talented artists music. That is rare. Let’s see how he does.
Outside of that, the beats get old and the lyrics are without substance. Let’s quote lil wayne…’I am a venerial disease, like a menstral bleed’ WTF? Lady Gaga? What kind of name is that anyways? Let’s quote Lady Gaga Beautiful, dirty dirty rich rich dirty dirty/We got a redlight/Pornographic dance fight/Systematic, honey/But we go no money” Are our standards so low for music that the musicians aren’t working as hard or even need to? Are we all caught up in the person as the product of who’s dating who’s wearing what to even be interested in the same persons music which is the main product you are listening to, supporting and buying?
If I got a nickel everytime I regrettably was forced to see Spears in the nude…i’d be rich…I mean filthy rich.
